When disciples become disciple-makers.
“…and what you have heard from me
in the presence of many witnesses
entrust to faithful men,
who will be able to teach others also (2 Timothy 2.2).”
Two facts from this text: Every disciple needs a Paul, and every disciple needs a Timothy. We need someone who is investing in us, and we need to invest in others. While we all are eager for people to invest in us, it remains hard work to invest in others. Yet, I am the result of other men’s ministry. I did not become strong in faith alone. Someone invested in me. A disciple of Jesus overcame their fear, prayed, and challenged me to consider Jesus, then others challenged me to be a disciple-maker.
Transmit22 calls men to become disciples and become disciple-makers. This is the mandate of those who follow Jesus.
For a few days at the end of February, Men will gather to talk about God and life and pray together. We will also be on Mt Hood, Oregon, to snowboard (ski), be strengthened, and laugh together.
